According to the plan, we would have gone canoeing yesterday evening at Fushimi, but we arrived at the park a tad too late for the canoe rental. Also according to the plan, we were going to do the Firetower hike in the morning before hitting the road to Thunder Bay.
Well, plans change. This was looking like our last best chance for a canoe rental, something both Emma and I wanted to do on this trip, and the water was looking incredibly calm, the sun warm, and not another soul to be seen.
Just before setting out. Smiles: check.

After Emma took over paddling from Oscar.
Exploring the island.
After our canoe trip, we headed to Thunder bay, getting there in time for fish and chips for supper then an evening of water sliding at the hotel. The weather in Thunder Bay was terrible, mist and rain alternating, so we definitely chose the right night to be in a hotel.
