Oscar and I brought the girls out to survey progress. The two of us have been pretty busy out at the house, putting up the gyprock, threading the cable, etc. and it's about time the X chromosome set gave us the credit we deserve. Or at least that's the way it works in my cartoon world. In reality, Antony and his crew are doing everything, and all I do is pick colours. Annick even wrote the cheques (no surprise there).

First sign of progress: while we liked the urban look of having our address spray-painted on some particle board, we decided that the we wouldn't ruffle feathers with our neighbours. At least, not over that.

The carved stone address number seems like it will serve its function.

The previous pic gave a pretty good rendering of the colour of our brick facade. You can see here that it is about half done.

The garage is also coming along nicely. We have a garage door now!

Kitchen. Drywall joints are finished throughout the house.
The border tiles in the bathroom upstairs.
The kitchen tile. If I had known it would be exactly the colour of dirty plywood, we could have saved ourselves $1000 or so.
Oscar hacking his way through the neighbours' savannah.
Afterwards we went for a healthy lunch. Oscar enjoyed a pile of fries and half a chicken nugget.
