For the next couple of months we will be eating, drinking, and sleeping extra-curricular activities for the kids. Soccer 4 nights a week and swimming both days on the weekend. Mom and dad are using the opportunity to shed a few pounds as well - riding to the soccer pitch towing the Chariot must burn a few calories, even if it's walking distance...
Emma got a medal tonight. We're not exactly sure, but we think it was for most improved listening. We were all proud! I should mention that Emma was flushed from the heat, not the pride. It was 30 degrees today!
Oscar played his first ever soccer game last Wednesday. The previous Monday, they were rained out, (i.e. it had rained for the previous 3 weeks), and on Wednesday they played in deep grass with 50 km/hr winds. Nevertheless everyone had a good time. Oskie is the smallest on his team and plays a big portion of each game holding Dad's hand, while Dad tries not to squish opposing players.
