Oh Wu, Wu. Wherefore art thou, Wu?

Emmanuelle's beloved Mr. Wu didn't make roll call last night. It appears he missed the last transport from the park and may now be behind enemy lines. Leaflets have been scattered at his last known location, but he appears to have gone underground. There have been no communications from him in more than 36 hours.

I would post a picture of him here, but out of respect for Emmanuelle, who might stumble across this page, I'll allow readers to search for one. There's a nice photo of Emma piggyback on mom in the blog post "a walk by the quarry" from last fall (October I think). Wu is there in Emma's hand, as he so often has been these past few years.

Stay strong, Wu. Our agents are out there looking for you. We're going to try to bring you in, buddy. Emma will be waiting.

A little splashing on a sunny day.

I think he's checking for rain.

My new least-favourite snack

We recently had a visit from Sophie, Maeva, and Florence, followed by a little snack on the balcony.
After seeing Oscar's first performance with Fudgesicles, I have used my veto several times to bar a repeat. From now on, Fudgesicles are only to be consumed in bathings suits, next to the pool.

A visit to Yan's for Father's day

It was hot enough to go for a swim even if the water was a bit chilly. Emmanuelle was sporting her best sun hat.

The pool took a lot out of Oscar, as we would discover later.
He does kind of look like he needs to upchuck. Well, he did.
Oscar chilling with Mom.One of the kids' favourite things about Yan's place - his pet snake (rescued from a school classroom).

Yan claims it doesn't squeeze his neck - much.
I look stressed, but I was just wondering if I could get it to go into my shirt pocket.
The tiny neck crowd weren't allowed to wear the snake.
Oh yeah, it was also Denis' birthday!
A non-blurry photo of Yan!

From the "his girlfriend is going to love these photos" department...

Oscar's first ever peepee in the potty - in honour of Canada day!
Chocolate chip? If you like.
And on an unrelated front, you should have seen the tantrum he performed when we took the icecream bucket off his head.

A little more unusual fashion: Finger painting...

...backless!

Beware, this kitty-kat's a tiger.

And if there wasn't yoghurt around as a snack, she might just eat you for lunch...

Oscar's birthday

was several months ago. Here are the pictures: (I'll edit to add captions tomorrow)
How old are you Oscar?

Waiting patiently for the first birthday cake of the season.

If only it tasted as good as it looks!

We prefer "frugal" - this #2 already served for Emmanuelle's birthday.

Emmanuelle is eager to get to the presents.

"I'll take the ribbon off for you, now unwrap!"
Smile for the picture!

Hugs!
Birthday party number two!

PJ: Who's on the cake, Oscar?
O: Cake.
PJ: It's your friend Winnie!
O: No.
PJ: It's Winnie the Pooh!
O: No.
PJ: Of course it's Winnie.
O: No. Cake.

D: Of course it's Winnie.
O: No, cake.

There's that "2" again.

A card from Grandpa and Grandma

Presents, round 2.

Hugs round 2.
Thanks Uncle Yan!
