Halloweeners

The kids had a lot of fun on Hallowe'en. Emmanuelle dressed up for her PreK in her giraffe costume, while Oscar, our little "ding ding", dressed up as a ladybug for daycare.

(Oscar's word for ladybugs was "ding ding" for a few months last winter. They remain a favourite critter in our household.)

Importantly, Oscar's ladybug costume doesn't smell like pee anymore.

On Hallowe'en night itself it was so cold, windy, and rainy that we had to improvise a more appropriate costume. We put hats, rain boots, and life jackets on the kids and I whipped up a couple of fishing rods, then we launched the canoe and the kids fished for candies at the neighbours' houses.
