Well, Oscar deserves a little bloggage. It's a bit of a coin toss as to what his first word is. He says Papa and Bye-bye. When he says Bye-Bye he waves his hand (well, opens and closes it). When he says Papa he stretches it out: Paaaaaaaaa-pa. Super cute.
He also says something else that could either be Mao or Wow

Oh, and he sort of says Mama, but not really...

What's really cool is that he tries to imitate words. A few weeks ago we asked Emma what movie she wanted to watch on Friday night. Her answer: (You guessed it) Madagascar. Oscar immediately blurted out Rabarasca. Coincidence? Mayhaps...

But then, a week or so after that, Emma got into the habit of saying Bonjour like she had a mouth full of rocks. Whaddya know, Oscar started saying something like Bonjour (with a mouth full of arrowroot).

And then yesterday or the day before, when Emma was saying "Ribbit" and jumping like a frog, Oscar started saying something close to Ribbit, and rocking himself back and forth in little baby jumps.
